The mission of the Quit Smoking Experience (QSE®) Organization is to assist Australians to quit smoking in the most enduring, economical and effective way.  Based on the latest in addictions research, a revolutionary approach to quitting cigarette smoking has been developed by Dr John R. Wylie (a licensed psychologist, NSW PRB Reg. No. PSO102358).  The model utilises clinically proven cognitive-behavioural strategies combined with hypnotherapy to achieve abstinence from smoking.

The QSE® quit initiative was developed in response to the decades of poor performance by almost every ‘quit’ program available to smokers.  Of significant concern was the ongoing investment by smokers in nicotine replacement programs to quit.  Despite their promotional hype, one burning question remains unanswered by proponents of the nicotine replacement strategy, “… if nicotine dependence is the basis of a smoker’s addiction, why is it that nicotine replacement programs such as nicotine gum, nicotine patches and lozenges, report so very few successes?”  Studies indicate nicotine replacement programs achieve around a 13% success rate of abstinence.

Hypnotherapy on the other hand, has been identified as the most effective form of treatment for quitting cigarettes – and also the cheapest.  The abstinence success rate from just one hypnotherapy session is around 35%.  The QSE® approach utilises a unique system of hypnotherapy applications and enhances this process with solid, clinically proven psychological reinforcement strategies.
